A soil-laden truck kills a minor girl under Sherpur upazila in Bogura on Tuesday. The deceased is identified as Maya Khatun (5) daughter of Merazul Islam of that village at Andikumra Purvapara of the upazila.

The accident took place at Andikumra Purvapara village of the upazila around 12 noon on Tuesday. Sub-inspector of Sherpur police station Mithun Sarkar said that while going to a grocery store near the deceased Maya’s house, a speeding soil-laden truck hit her and ran away.

She died on the spot. After the death, the scene was visited. After the legal process, the child’s body has been handed over to the family.
