380 beneficiaries get shari, lungi as Eid gift in Fulchhari

As many as 380 beneficiaries got sari , lungi as Eid gift from a renowned businessman through a non-government organization FRIENDSHIP to help them celebrate forthcoming Eid-ul-Fitr peacefully.

In this regard, a function organized by FRIENDSHIP’s Inclusive Citizenship Sector was also held on the premises of Kabilpur Govt. Primary School located at MaddhyaUrya Char under Urya Union of Fulchhariupazilaon Friday under Good Governance Project while MessersJamai Varieties Store provided the Eid gift for distributing those to the beneficiaries.

Proprietor of the store Azizur Rahman Dukhu formally distributed the gifts to the beneficiaries.

Speaking on the occasion Azizur Rahman in his speeches said as part of social corporate responsibility, he had been distributing sari , lungi to the poor and distressed people of the union for four years last on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the biggest religious festival of the muslims.

In continuation, like the previous years sari and lungi were distributed to the poor this year, sources said.

Local union parishadchairman Golam Mostafa Kamal Pasha, union parishad member Bakul Miah, para legal Sumaiya Afrin, local elite were present on the occasion.

Notably said paralegal men trained up by the FRIENDSHIP founded by Runa Khanhas been playing significant role to the people of project command areas of the organization in checking child marriage, in resolving legal complications side by side ensuring good governance in chars.

The activity on sari lungi distribution has come to reality for cordial efforts of the para legal men of the organization as they contributed much to collect the gifts from the businessman because the paralegal communicated with the trader and requested him to distribute the gifts considering the welfare of the poor.

In response, the proprietor took a decision to give sari, lungi to the beneficiaries before Eid festival. Accordingly, the gifts were distributed to the poor,  said senior supervisor Ariful Islam Anik.
