As part of the government’s election commitment to plant 2.5 billion trees within five years, a tree plantation program has been inaugurated along the regional highways of Chapainawabganj. On Wednesday (April 1) at 10:00 AM, the program was officially launched by the Deputy Commissioner Abu Saleh Md. Musa Jongi, under the initiative of the District Roads Department.

Among others present at the event were Md. Harun-ur-Rashid Harun, member of the BNP National Executive Committee and Administrator of the District Council; Mohammad Nahinur Rahman, Executive Engineer of the District Roads Department; Dr. Mohammad Yasin Ali, Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension; Md. Shahinur Rahman, District Fisheries Officer; and Abdul Aziz, Sub-Assistant Engineer of the Roads Department, along with others.
