The ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperative has given the responsibility of Director General (DG-Acting) of Rural Development Academy (RDA) of Bogura to Dr. Md. Abdul Majid Pramanik from today.
Senior Assistant Secretary of the Ministry Md. Kutub Ul Alam signed an order in favour of the posting of Dr. Abdul Majid Pramanik, the existing Director (Admin) of RDA Bogura.
RDA sources said that he joined as Assistant Director of RDA in 2004 and for his devotion and dedication to the profession and responsibility, unparallel leadership and outstanding services to the char people he received regular promotion and became the Director (Admin) of RDA in Bogura few months ago.
He contributed remarkably nationally and Internationally with his vast experience to the fields of poverty alleviation, agro-development, ecology friendly activities, disaster management, empowerment of women, and food security for last 21 years.
His unparalleled leadership improves the lifestyle of the People of the char areas of Jamuna basin by imparting improved agro technology. Dr. Majid also served succesfully as the Project Director (PD) of “Making Markets Work for the Chars (M4C)”.
Newly appointed DG Dr. Majid joined in RDA after completing his Post graduate degree in Agro Economy from Bangladesh Agriculture University of Mymensingh and later as a successful researcher he completed his Ph.D from Northwest A & F University of China.
Around 50 publications have sofar been published in different journals of home and abroad. Recently, he also secures public adminstration award of Bangladesh for his outstanding professionalism.
