BNP-men and Police clash in Bogura, 211 BNP-men accused on four cases, arrested 5

During foot-procession in Bogura district on Tuesday, BNP-men and Police locked into clash and police lodged 4 cases accusing at least 211 identified BNP-men and some unidentified persons with two police stations and arrested 5 BNP leaders and activists from different locations of the district.

 Following the clash, police lodged 3 cases in sadar and one case in Dupchanchia police station on Tuesday night and later they arrested at least 5 BNP-leaders and activists.

Arrested BNP-leaders are identified as Ali Ajgor Talukdar Hena, General Secretary of BNP-Bogura district unit from Sutrapur residence and former convener of Swechchasebok Dal of district unit Majedur Rahman Juwel from Puran Bogura residence of Bogura town on early Wednesday.

Other three arrested were identified as Md. Abu Bakkar, Md. Tamim and Md. Raju from Dupchanchia upazila area in the district.

Contacted, Sudip Kumar Chakrabarty, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Bogura said that for attack on police outpost, preventing police their government duty, vandalism, and cocktails attack on police, police lodged cases against 211 identified and some unidentified BNP-men with two police stations.

Police have arrested 2 BNP-leaders and 3 activists from different locations and raids have been going on to arrest the accused of the cases, added the SP.
