The 26th Inter-House Annual Sports Competition and Prize Distribution Ceremony of Millennium Scholastic School & College was held on Wednesday, 28 January 2026, at the institution’s own playground in a festive and enthusiastic atmosphere.
The programme commenced in the afternoon with a colourful inaugural ceremony. The event was graced by the presence of teachers of the institution, guardians, senior military officials of Bogura Cantonment and distinguished local dignitaries, whose participation added significant prestige to the occasion.
The Chairman of the Governing Body, Brigadier General Md Khurshid Alam graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In the inaugural speech of the institution’s Principal, Lt Col Md Rafiqul Islam underscored the vital role of sports in fostering students’ physical fitness, mental resilience and moral development. He observed that regular participation in sports cultivates competitiveness, leadership qualities and teamwork among students — attributes essential for success in later life. He further emphasized that co-curricular activities are indispensable in shaping students into competent, ethical and socially responsible citizens and expressed his commitment to the continuation of such initiatives in the future.
A total of 330 students participated in 49 sporting events in the main segment of the competition. In addition, six remaining events were held on the final day, alongside special competitions involving invited guests, which significantly enhanced the overall appeal and excitement of the programme.
The concluding segment featured a captivating cultural performance with the participation of over five hundred students. Through dance, music and visual presentations, the performers vividly showcased the diversity of Bengali nature, heritage and culture, leaving the audience thoroughly enthralled.
At the end of the programme, the Chief Guest distributed prizes among the winners and formally declared the closing of the 26th Inter-House Annual Sports Competition–2026. The well-coordinated arrangement and vibrant participation reflected the institution’s strong commitment to holistic education and the all-round development of its students.
