Vaccination for COVID-19 begins With vaccine taking of Bogura DC

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Bogura has inaugurated the vaccination programme for COVID-19 by taking vaccine first at Bogura Mohammad Ali Hospital in Bogura district at around 11 AM on Sunday.

Then the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Bogura Ali Asraf Bhuiyan BPM (Bar) has taken his vaccine in the same hospital of Bogura district where long lines were seen before the eight booth of the hospital.

Deputy Civil Surgeon of Bogura district Dr. Mostafizur Rahman Tuhin said that Bogura district has got 1,08,000 doses of vaccine last month and 6,161 individuals have been registered so far from 12 upazilas of Bogura district for corona vaccination and they will take the vaccine from 54 booths of different hospitals of the district.

The 8 in SZMCH hospital, 8 in Mohammad Ali Hospital, 1 in Police Lines, 4 in CMH and 33 in 11 upazilas excluding sadar upazila of Bogura totaling 54 booths of the district and 2 booths of Civil Surgeon Office have been kept as reserved for any purposes, added the Civil Surgeon.

The vaccine taking beneficiaries of the district have expressed their deep gratitude to the government for ensuring the vaccination for the people and they had been feeling well mentally and physically and volunnters have been working for the smooth vaccination.

Dr. Samir Hossain Mishu, the member of Adverse Events Following Immunization (EFI) and Upazila Family Planning and Health Officer, Sadar upazila said that the staffs of health department have been given all sorts of directions to held the vaccination carefully.

Md. Ziaul Hoque, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Bogura expressed his own comments after getting the vaccine and told the news men that he was feeling well and hoped the people of all classes of the society will come forward to take the vaccine smoothly.
