Islamic University students are suffering significant difficulties in obtaining required certificates from the Controller of Examinations office.
Students allegedly said, “Due to the absence of clear rules, they have to move from one office to another. Daily incidents at the counters include inappropriate behavior from staff, reprimands, and the loss of important documents.”
Students demanded that the university administration take necessary steps to reduce their suffering as soon as possible.
Acting Controller of Examinations Abul Kalam Azad attributed the delays to a lack of manpower and inadequate office space. He said, “The Controller of Examinations office requires a dedicated space, and their operations are significantly hampered by staff shortages.”
Faculty members suggested digitalization as a solution to these issues. Professor Dr. Amtaz Hossain, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, said, “Automation is the long-term solution, allowing students to access certificates online.”
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Nakib Muhammad Nasrullah said, “Steps are being taken, to solve the obtaining certificate problem.” He mentioned plans to introduce an automated certificate issuance system and a one-stop service for quicker and more efficient processing.
