SABAH working for poor home-based workers

SAARC Business Associate of Home Based Workers Bangladesh (SABAH) is working to increase employment and income of poor home-based workers in SAARC countries.

About 14,000 women have benefited from this event, but currently four hundred women have joined in the organization for their own development. Yesterday, on Friday, the annual general meeting of the organization was held at Agargaon PKSF building in Dhaka.

Sabah buys and sells hand-made products by running 16 community facilitation centers in different parts of the country, including a trade facilitation center in Dhaka. Sabah is providing assistance in various ways to increase the income of women in the country and abroad, including cooperation in marketing their products, increasing their skills, and cooperation in financial management.

Chairperson of Sabah Bangladesh and Executive Director of TMSS Professor Dr Hosne Ara Begum was specking here in the function as chief guest.

Former secretaries, former senior police officers, bankers, chartered accountants etc. spoke in the Sabah General Assembly-2024 program as the invited guests.

The new board is formed by the direct vote of the Sabah board of directors in the annual general meeting. Election Commissioner was FCA Mosharraf Hossain Mridha.
