On the eve of National Revolution and Solidarity Day, Zia T-20 Cricket tournament was inaugurated in Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogura on Sunday noon by former captain of Bangladesh National Cricket team Tamim Iqbal Khan and Muhammad Ashraful Islam.

BNP Rajshahi divisional media cell chief Abul Kalam Azad said that District unit BNP has been supervising the tournament and 10 games will be held among the 10 organisational divisions of the country and the final game will be held at Mirpur Cricket Stadium in the capital on the birth Day of Shaheed President of Ziaur Rahman on January 19, 2025.

In compare with the presence of last 16 years, huge number of spectators enjoyed the inauguration match and brave freedom fighters, family of Shaheed Selim on the anti-discrimination movement during July-August Revolution in Bangladesh and common people also enjoyed the game beside the party-men.

In the opening match, Rajshahi Red team beat Rajshahi Green Team by 34 runs with the presence of Goal Keeper of National Football team and BNP central sports secretary Aminul Islam and other national and district unit leaders of BNP.
