Pretending to be a doctor in Rajshahi

There has been an incident of fancy cheating pretending to be a doctor in Rajshahi. But the end was not saved. He was caught by the police. The doctor, identified as Rajshahi Medical College (RMC), entered a ward of the hospital and took blood from the patient’s body for examination.

Later it was found out that he was a fake doctor. In the meantime, the relatives of the patient were also beaten by extorting money by cheating. Police later arrested two fake doctors on the charge. They were arrested in a raid at Laxmipur junction in the city on Tuesday afternoon. Earlier, a case was filed against them at Rajpara police station on Monday night.

The arrested have been identified as Salman Sharif Babu, 35, son of Nazrul Islam of Keshabpur area of ​​Rajpara police station and Zahidul Islam Zahid, 38, son of Maidul Islam of Makrampur area of ​​Gomstapur police station in Chapainawabganj. Zahid is a resident of Laxmipur Kanchabazar area of ​​Rajpara police station.

According to the Metropolitan Police and the case statement, a man named Sirajul Islam of Madhabpur village of Atrai police station in Naogaon was undergoing treatment at Ward No. 18 of Ramek Hospital. At around 10 pm on Monday, Salman Sharif introduced himself as a doctor and entered the ward and took blood from the body of Sirajul Islam.

He said the patient needs a blood test. During this time blood of some more patients was taken. An hour later, Salman asked the patient’s son Sumon Ali to collect a blood test report from the Rajshahi Diagnostic Center. Later, when Sumon went to get the report, the accused demanded four thousand rupees for the report.

Sumon said, thinking the government doctor, we allowed him to take blood for testing. But later they demanded four thousand rupees. But when I wanted to return my father’s medical documents saying that I could not afford to pay that much, the accused Salman and two other unidentified persons including Jahidul detained me inside Rajshahi Diagnostic Center and beat me. At that time four thousand 50 rupees in my pocket was forcibly taken away.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rajpara Police Station Mazharul Islam said a case was filed in the police station on the basis of Sumon’s allegations. Later we started the arrest operation by identifying the location of the accused. The operation is underway to collect the names and addresses of the unidentified accused. Legal action has been taken against the arrested accused.
