Five died from excessive wine drinking in Bogura

Five persons died from excessive wine drinking at three locations at Puran Bogura, Kalitola area in Bogura town on Sunday night.

The deceased were identified as Mason Ramzan Ali, 40, son of Lokman Hossian and Sumon Chanrda, 38, son of Premnath of Puran Bogura, Porter Saju Mia, 55, son of Hutu Mia and Cook Mozahar Ali, 70, son of unknown of Katnarpara and Abdul Jalil, 65, son of unknown of Fulbari area in Bogura town.

Local of Puran Bogura said that at Thinmatha intersection area of the town, a marriage ceremony of a carpenter’s son was held at the area and after the marriage ceremony, they drank excessive wine and Ramzan and Sumon died in the separate hospitals. But Sumon’s father Premnath and Uncle Ramnath were still admitted at SZMCH under treatment.

Besides, three died from the same case at Kalitola area of Bogura town on Sunday night. The deceased were identified as Porter Saju, Mozahar Ali, Abdul Jalil in the spot of the town.

Humaun Kabir, OC Sadar, Bogura said that the dead bodies were sent to their respective houses and denying excessive wine drinking, they were died from heart attack but police have been investigating the matter.
