After getting power, Great leader Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman executed some remarkable and humane deed for the people of Bangladesh during his tenure and his extra-ordinary role in building Bangladesh is still remembered by the people of Bangladesh and even the world after his martyrdom in 1981.

Such remarks were made by the Joint-Secretary of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi as the chief guest at a Dowa Mahfil on the 89^th birth anniversary of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman at Baitur Rahman Mosque in Bogura on Sunday afternoon.

Rizvi added that the proclamation of Independence of Bangladesh in 1971 was delivered by the great leader who reached Bangladesh in the zenith of succuss of Bangladesh by excavating 1400 canals for the improvement of Agriculture, making 27,500 Rural Doctors for ensuring the treatment of the root-level people of Bangladesh.

He contributed much in the development of all sectors of the country and he jumped in the freedom fighting as Major Zia and led Z-force as the sector commander and achieved “Bir Uttom” title after the war without having any earthly benefits, also added Rizvi.

In the Dowa Mahfil, Adviser of BNP Chair-person and former Mayor of Bogura Municipality Advocate AKM Mahbubur Rahman, Former MP Helaluzzaman Lalu, President of Bogura district unit BNP Rezaul Karim Badsha, Executive member of central committee VP Saiful Islam, Ali Azgar Hena, Joynal Abedin Chan and others.

Imam of Baitur Rahman Central Mosque Maolana Belayet Hossain conducted the Dowa Mahfil.
