The body of the young man was recovered from his bedroom in Gosaipara of the town  on Monday evening.Earlier that afternoon, Sameer Saha Pappa made a post on his Facebook ID timeline blaming his parents and in-laws for his suicide.

Later, the body was sent to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College (SZRMC&H) hospital morgue in Bogura for postmortem examination.

On investigation, it is known that on Monday afternoon, papa wrote a post on his Facebook ID’s timeline saying “My parents and father-in-law are responsible for my death”. An hour and a half after giving this post, he came in ‘Facebook Live’ in the evening and committed suicide by closing the door and window of his bedroom and wrapping a veil around his neck with a ceiling fan.

Local residents said” Sameer Saha Pappa was a candidate for the post of councilor in the municipal election held a couple of years ago. After losing that election, he became mentally unbalanced. He was also suffering from various complex diseases. Apart from this, due to lack of income, family quarrels continued in his family Desperate in such a situation, he chooses the path of suicide.”

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sherpur Police Station Ataur Rahman Khondkar said, “Primarily, it is believed that Sameer Saha committed suicide due to a family dispute”

“Receiving the information of the local people, the body of the deceased was recovered and sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy.” he added. “An unnatural death case has been filled in Sherpur Police Station in this connection.” he also added.
