Police have arrested a youth named Naeem Siddiqui (20) accused of raping a school girl at Sherpur upazila of Bogura district.
Later he was sent to jail through the court. Naeem Siddiqui, who was arrested in the police operation, is the son of Abu Bakar Siddique of Sadhubari village of Shahbandegi union of upazila.
Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Rabiul Islam confirmed this information on Monday (August 28) afternoon.
According to the case, the daughter of Helal Uddin (13) of Sadhubari village of the upazila and the studient of class ninth of the local Ucharang Bande Ali High School.But Naeem Siddiqui, a student of the same village, started teasing the schoolgirl on the way to school.The matter has been discussed locally several times for compromising.
Naeem became reckless for that.
At one stage, he developed a love relationship with that student through various temptations and tricks.
Based on this, the alleged lover Naeem took the girl to his house on the way back home after the learning private last August 1.
No one was at home at the time. On this occasion, this student was forcibly raped.It is mentioned in the statement that when the victim girl told the incident to her family members after coming home, a case was registered at the Sherpur Police Station in this connection.
When asked, Rabiul Islam(SI) of Sherpur police station for investigation of the case admitted the truth of the incident and said that Swapna Begum, the mother of the victim girl, filed a case under the Women and Child represenssion Act at Sherpur police station on August 26. Immediately after the case, the police conducted a raid and arrested the accused.
The next day at noon, he was sent to jail by the court.Besides, the police officer said that the victim was sent to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College (SZRMC ) Hospital in Bogura on Monday (August 28) to complete the medical examination.
