Uttering the slogan” No Tobacco, Produce Food” the world tobacco day’2023 was observed through a colourful anti-narcotic rally, discussion in the main roads of the town in Bogura town on early Wednesday.

The rally was followed by a discussion at the conference room “Karatoa” of the office of the deputy commissioner (DC) of Bogura and the programme was organised by the district administration with the aid of National Tobacco Control Cell, the department of health service, Health and Family Planning.

The Deputy Commissioner of Bogura Md. Saiful Islam was present in the rally and discussion as the chief guest while Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Dinesh Sarkar presided over the whole programme.

Speakers said that narcotic destroyed a family and the learners should be aware about the bad and harmful effect of narcotic and actually all classes of people should be aware about the matter.

Other speakers were Civil Surgeon of Bogura Mohammad Shafiul Islam, Additional; District Magistrate (ADM) of Bogura district administration Afsana Yesmin, Additional Police Super (Crime) of Bogura Police Administration Abdur Rashid, Deputy Director of the department of Narcotic Control Jamiur Rahman, Deputy Director of Social Service Department of Bogura district ASM Kawsar Ahmed and Assistant Director of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority of Bogura Moynul Hasan and others.
