Two minor girls aged 6 of housing project were allegedly raped by a day labourer at Alora village in Paikor union of Kahaloo upazila in Bogura on Wednesday.

The rapist was identified as Nur Islam who is a day labourer by profession and living in the same village. Victim girls’ relatives and police said that the inhabitant of same village Nur Islam calling them inside his house raped them and after circulating the incident news among the local people he fled from the scene and the relatives lodged rape case with Kahaloo police station on Friday afternoon.

Case statement said that the victims were playing on housing yard and meanwhile, they were called by the alleged rapist showing sweetmeats and raped them and on Thursday, they become sick with fever and bleedings were marked by their relatives and sensing the danger, the rapist fled the scene and on information, police escorted the victims in their custody.

Contacted, Abdul Hannan, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kahaloo police station said that a case was lodged with the police station accusing Nur Islam and the victims were sent to the victim support centre of Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital in Bogura for treatment and tests and police have been trying to arrest the alleged rapist soon.
