Two meritorious students have been awarded along with cash and crest under Dupchanchia upazila in Bogura on Friday.

The award giving ceremony was hoisted with the initiative of Dupchancia University Club  (DUC) funded by Dr Jalal Uddin Mondal former professor of university of Texas pan America amid two students who achieved GPA-5 in the SSC examination.

On the occasion of awarding Jalal Uddin Award, a discussion meeting was held at the Food Garden auditorium of the upazila under the chairmanship of Sudeb Kundu, president of DUC while professor of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University Dr FM Aminuzzaman was speaking as chief guest. Note that Tk 40,000 in cash, a certificate and a crest was handed over amid them.

President of Dupchanvhia press club Golam Faruk, former Banker Azizul Haque, Asim Kumar Das, Abdul Mannan, Alauddin Fakir, Sultan Ali Moholder, Ershad Hossain, and Deputy General Secretary Matiur Rahman Dewan Palash, Revered student Suparna Kundu and Sithi Roy among others spoke in the function.

Journalist Emdadul Haque was present at the time. The entire meeting was moderated by Abdus Salam, General Secretary of the University Club. Note that Suparna Kundu and Sithi Roy, the students who got GPA-5 in this year’s SSC examination from Dupchanchia Government Pilot Model High School, were awarded by Dr. Jalal Uddin.
