Two more people died at Rajshahi Medical College (RMC) Hospital with symptoms of corona infection.
They died at the hospital’s corona unit between 9am on Tuesday and 9am on Wednesday. This information has been confirmed by the director of RMC Hospital, Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani.
He said one patient from Rajshahi and one from Natore had died at RMC Hospital in the last 24 hours with symptoms of corona infection. One of them was admitted in ward 29/30 of the hospital and the other was admitted in the ICU of the hospital.
At present eight patients from Rajshahi, four from Chapainawabganj, three from Naogaon, three from Natore, two from Pabna, one from Kushtia, one from Joypurhat and one from Sirajganj are hospitalized.
Four people have been admitted to the hospital with corona. There are 18 people admitted with corona symptoms. Six have been admitted in the last 24 hours.
There were 23 patients in RMCCorona unit till 9 am on Wednesday. Even a day ago this number was 19 people. At present RMC’s Corona unit has 104 beds.
Meanwhile, eight people were identified as corona in a sample test of 271 people at RMC Lab last Tuesday. Corona detection rate in Rajshahi is 98 percent, in Joypurhat it is 4.8 percent and in Bogura it is 3.60 percent.
