Sherpur Thana Police has recovered the throat slit dead body of a youth in the Jhagor village of khamarkandi union on Tuesday (August 29) at 12 noon under Sherpur upazila of Bogura district.
The name of the deceased youth is Afas Uddin and son of late Zahurul Islam Khoka of Jhajar village of Khamarkandi union from abandoned house.
The deceased’s wife Chaeyna Khatun & mother-in-law Meherunnessa said that at around ten in the morning, his cousin Shamim Hossain called them and told them that someone had cut Afas Uddin Liton’s throat and kept him inside the house.
Wife Chyena Khatun also said, “I think this incident may have happened due to the conflict between their colleagues based on drug consumption.”
Babu Kumar Saha, (OC) officer-in-charge of Sherpur police station, said, “The body has been recovered. The investigation is going on to unravel the mystery. Soon the killers will be caught and brought to justice.”
“The dead body has been sent to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital for postmortem examination”
