Schoolboy named Bandhan (16) was killed by a bus while crossing the Dhaka-Bogura highway of Sherpur upazila of Bogura district. The accident took place in Sherua Battala area at 5:30 pm on Sunday(28 May) afternoon.
He is the son of Nayan Ahmed of Sherua area of Shahbandegi Union and a class nine student of The Child Care School.
According to local,Nayan used to coach in school after school. He was crossing the highway by bicycle to return home after coaching. At that time, the speeding motorcycle was unable to give side as the road was narrow and pushed the bicycle and it fell on the road.Later, a Dhaka-bound speeding bus ran over his head.He was killed on the spot.
In this regard,Sub Inspector of Sherpur Fire Service Civil Defense Nadir Hossain said, “The body has been recovered and handed over to the police.”
In this regard, In-Charge of Sherpur Highway Police Camp Abdul Wadudsaid, “The body will be handed over to the family after the legal process.”
