Joint committee meeting has been held on Monday (July 17) at the Upazila Parishad meeting hall to declare Sherpur Upazila of Bogura district landless & homeless free under Sherpur upazila of Bogura district.
It has been unanimously decided to send the declaration proposal to the district committee under Asharyan-2 project of the upazila.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Sherpur upazila Sanjida Sultana presided over the meeting while Heroic Freedom Fighter Alhaj Habibar Rahman spoke as the chief guest at the meeting.
“In his speech, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s dream was to build a happy and prosperous country and put a smile on the face of the helpless people.His privileged daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working with that goal after coming to power.” He said.
He especially declared ” No people of the country will be landless and homeless &It is going to be reflected in this upazila.”
Besides, MP Habibur Rahman said, “Everyone should be careful about those conspiracies of the BNP-led coalition. Conspiracy has been spreading around home and abroad. He called everyone to stop any inaction against the country.

SM Rezaul Karim of Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) moderated the meeting on the occasion.
