On the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Dhaka Digital Marathon Race / 21 has been held in a festive atmosphere in Adamdighi Upazila of Bogra.

The marathon, organized by Army 11 Infantry Division and Upazila Administration, was inaugurated at Santahar Stadium in the upazila on Thursday morning. Chief guests were Upazila Parishad Chairman Sirajul Islam Khan Raju, Upazila Executive Officer Seema Sharmin and Army Representative Major Zahid Iqbal PSC. Santahar Municipal Mayor Tofazzal Hossain Bhutto, Upazila Awami League Co-President Abu Reza Khan, Upazila Women’s Awami League President Manju Ara Begum, Women Vice Chairman Salma Begum, Upazila Agriculture Officer Krishibid Mithu Chandra Adhikari, OC Jalal Uddin, Bir Muktijoddha Ajmal Hossain, Municipal Awami League President Abul Kashem, UP Chairman Zillur Rahman, Awami League Organizing Secretary Suminul Islam Sumon, Mihir Sarkar and other prominent leaders. The marathon started from Santahar Stadium and ended at the 5 km Adamdighi Upazila Parishad premises. Later, 10 contestants with the best hearts were awarded by running in the central Shaheed Minar premises.

The marathon was attended by a large number of people from all walks of life, including teachers and students from various educational institutions.
