A 15 day long sewing training begins in the conference room organized and funded by Kurigram Zila Parishad at noon on Sunday.
The opening of the training ceremony was held in the conference room where chairman of Zila Parishad Alhaj Md Jafar Ali (former MP) was present as the chief guest while Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr. Md Faridul Islam was presided in the function.
Zila Parishad member Ekramul Haque Bulbul, political leader Abu Mohammad Sayed Hasan Loban, Alok Sarkar,chief training instructor Falguni Tarafder spoke among others. The speakers emphasized to learn and earn from the training.
Zila Parishad arranged of the training for unemployed poor women to be self-reliant. A total of 40 poor women have been participated in the 15 day long sewing training. At the end of training the every participant will get a new swing machine free of cost from the Zila Parishad.
It is mentioned here that Zila Parishad arranges for sewing training among the poor and ultra-poor women numbering 30-40 to be self-reliant here every year. In addition, training on agriculture, poultry, computer, freelancing etc. are being conducted here funded by Kurigram Zila Parishad.
