Two students from Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU) in Dinajpur have been nominated for the Rover Scouts’ National Service Award 2022. The students are Rover Mate Md. Raijul Islam and Rover Mate Md. Moajjem Hossain from the university’s Rover Scout group. Md. Raijul Islam is a student of the Economics department from the 2020 academic year, and Md. Moajjem Hossain is a student of the Finance and Banking department from the 2019 academic year.
The National Service Award is given in recognition of brave and honorable service through the Scout movement by dedicating oneself to the welfare of humanity, such as during floods, cyclones, and other emergencies, and by engaging in rescue efforts, collecting and distributing relief materials, and other such activities.
Expressing his feelings about receiving the National Service Award, Md. Raijul Islam said, “First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to the esteemed advisors of HSTU Rover Scouts, as well as my Rover Mate friends, seniors, and juniors. This honor will make me even more enthusiastic about humanitarian service.”
Md. Moajjem Hossain said, “As a Rover, I have been engaged in humanitarian service, and as a reward for that, I have received the National Service Award from Bangladesh Scouts. This will further encourage us to engage in noble work like humanitarian service.”
