Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-12 personnel have seized 337 bottles of phensidyl, 2 motor bikes and arrested 5 narcotic traders with valuables at Dholirkandi Moddhayapara under Shariakandi upazila in Bogura on early Wednesday.

Acting on a tip-off and on the direction of the RAB-12 Company Commander, RAB personnel halted on a Sirajgonj-bound two motor bikes in the location and seized 337 bottles of phensidyl and two motor cycles, other valuables like 9 mobile sets, 9 SIMs, at TK. 5000 and arrested 5 narcotic traders from the same location.

The arrestees were identified as Dilbor Hossain, 35, son of late Moklesar Rahman of Magurapara under Birol upazila in Dinajpur, Ashraful Islam, 35, son of Late Abdul Jabbar of rasulpur under Fulbari upazila of Dinajpur, Zakirul Ilsma, 28, son of Nasir Uddin of Bhaigor area under Birampur upazila of Dinajpur, Chabedul Islam, 29, son of Abdul Kuddus of Rasulpur Fulbari upazila of Dinajpur and Shihab Uddin, 33, son of late Saiful Islam of Goshaibari area under Shariakandi upazila of Bogura district.

Mir Monir Hossain, the Company Commander of RAB-12 told the news men said that after judging the PCPR of the arrested narcotic traders, RAB company commander said that they were involved in different narcotic trading for many years.

They had been handed over to Shariakandi Police Station in Bogura for taking lawful actions against them, added the Company Commander.
