Police arrested one snatcher who snatched taka one lac from a teen aged girl in broad day light in Kurigram. Additional superintendent of police Ruhul Amin confirmed the news in the morning on February 22.

Earlier,the incident took place in the road while the girl was going to Kurigram town riding a Rickshaw from Dharla Bridge at noon on Tuesday.The accused Emdadul Islam Emonwas arrested in the morning on Wednesday and produced before the Kurigram Chief Judicial Magistrate Court and the learned justice ordered to send him jail.

Officer-in-charge ofKurigramSadar police station Khan Mohammad Shahrear informed that some snatchers snatched taka one lac from the teen aged girl Moumita Akhter Sathi at SaddirMor point while she was going to town from Dharla Bridge by Rickshaw and fled away.

After getting information police raided and arrested the main accused from Old Railway Station Para at night on Tuesday and recovered taka one lac with vanity bag from his possession.A case has been lodged with Sadarthana police.

Additional superintendent of police Ruhul Amin told that four cases are pending in the court against the arrested accused. Our campaign will continue in Kurigram district to free from crime. We expect cooperation from all.
