Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB), Rajshahi division, Rajshahi arranged a performance evaluation and upcoming planning meeting for Managers and Zonal Managers at Auditorium of Rural Development Academy (RDA), in Bogura on Friday morning.

In the meeting, Chairman of RAKUB, Rajshahi and former Senior Secretary of the people’s republic of Bangladesh Md. Raisul Alam Mondal was present as the chief guest.

General Manager of RAKUB, Rajshahi Md. Atiqul Islam presided over the whole programme while Managing Director (MD) of the bank Md. Zahidul Haque, Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of RAKUB Kazi Abdur Rahman, General Manager (Audit and Accounts) of RAKUB Maksuda Nasrin, and General Manager (Admin) of RAKUB, Shawkat Shahidul Islam were present as special guests while the whole programme was presented by Shahinur Islam, Zonal Manager of RAKUB, Bogura (North).

DGMs, Bank Secretary, High officials of Audit and ICT department, Zonal managers and Managers of 193 branches of RAKUB under Rajshahi division and others were also simultaneously present.

Chairman of RABUK Md. Raisul Alam Mondal in his speech in the inauguration programme said that the management does not want to see the loss branch of RAKUB and it must not be tolerated and a team work should be enhanced leaving all kinds of barriers and sabotage to increase recovery of loan so that RAKUB can run in compare with other state-run banks.

Be open minded, be positive and be frank to the common people of the region so that the root people can improve their lot and the officials should prove their worth and incentive care will be taken to recover all loans of the big defaulters with the aid of administration and 4-month long plan should be rendered, added the Chairman of RAKUB.

Managing Director (MD) of RAKUB Zahidul Haque said that SME loan should be encouraged and public-oriented banking should be encouraged to reach RAKUB in its goal and to achieve such goal, 50-days programme has been taken to achieve the target so that people can see Sonar Bangla dreamt by father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Contrary, developed apps system will soon be introduced to conduct banking activities from clients’ respective residences so that RAKUB can reach in equal position of other banks, added the MD.

Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of RAKUB Kazi Abdur Rahman said that all problems in recovery of loans and ensuring expected deposit money must be addressed and RAKUB officials should own the bank terming the bank as mother.

In the second session of the programme was held on business performance evaluation followed by a heart-touching cultural programme in the same venue.
