National Youth Day was celebrated in Chapainawabganj through various programs keeping in mind the theme of “Smart Youth Rich Country, Bangabandhu’s Bangladesh”. On this occasion, yesterday morning at 10:30 a.m., the day was auspiciously started by blowing up balloons in the premises of Youth Development Directorate of Chapainawabganj. Later, a discussion meeting was held at Jubo Bhavan Auditorium organized by the District Administration and Youth Development Department. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Agriculturist Ahmed Mahbub-ul-Islam presided over the function while Deputy Commissioner AKM Ghaliv Khan spoke as the chief guest. Superintendent of Police Chaidul Hasan, Zilla Parishad Chairman Hero Freedom Fighter Ruhul Amin, Hero Freedom Fighter AD Abdus Samad spoke as special guests on the occasion. Abdul Mannan, Deputy Director of Youth Development Department, Chapainawabganj welcomed the event.

Aksana Khatun, executive director of Samata Women’s Development Agency, Jinyara Parveen successful women entrepreneur, among others spoke.Mizanur Rahman, Assistant Director of Chapainawabganj Department of Youth Development conducted the program.

At the end, the chief guest of the program distributed Tk 7.5 lakh loan checks, training allowances and certificates and driving licenses among the trainees in various trades. Besides, various training courses including freelancing were inaugurated.
