Police recovered the dismembered body of an unidentified young man eaten by a fox from a pond under Adamdighi upazila in Bogura on Sunday.

His estimated age would be between 25 to 28 years. The fox ate the body up to the waist along with the head. He was wearing a pair of navy blue jeans and orange rubber shoes.

The body was recovered from the bank of a pond called Kashiagadi in Nasratpur Union of the Upazila. Locals said that some people may have killed this unidentified youth and left him on the bank of that pond.

According to the police and the locals, on Sunday afternoon, the locals found the dismembered body of an unidentified young man on the banks of the pond. After that, the police reached the spot at 2 pm and recovered the body. His skull was found about 50 yards from the body.

Local UP member Jewel Hossain said that it is believed that some people may have killed the young man and left him a few days ago.

Officer-in-charge of Adamdighi police station Rezaul Karim confirmed the matter and said that after investigating the matter, it will be known whether he was killed. He also said that the dismembered body was recovered and sent to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital. A case has been lodged with the police station.
