More than two lakh taka worth of fish was destroyed due to mixture of poison in the pond in Adamdighi

In Damdama village of Adamdighi upazila of Bogra, miscreants have destroyed fish worth more than Tk 2 lakh by applying poison in the pond of a fish trader named Manju Hossain. Last Thursday night, poison was applied in this pond of about 5 bighas.

Manju Hossain of Chhotakhira village in Adamdighi upazila said he had been leasing Chowdhury pond in Damdama village of the upazila for three years and had been cultivating various species of fish including rui, katla and silver carp in the pond. Last Thursday night, when the miscreants applied poison in the pond, all the fish died and perished. His claim is that the value of the destroyed fish is about two lakh tk. He said he would lodge a complaint at the police station.
