Mamun to award best UNO in Naogaon

For keeping outstanding contribution in education sector, the authority concern has elected Sapahar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Abdullah Al Mamun as the best Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) at the district level for the second consecutive time.

UNO is working to motivate and prevent dropout the ethnic students of primary school across the upazila. UNO tries to ensure hundred percent attendance of the mild pupil in school. UNO also tries to eradicate the dropout tendency of the students.

Meanwhile, UNO has won the hearts of people from all walks of life with his honesty and dedication. Besides fulfilling the assigned duties, he is working to prevent social degradation. Through various achievements, he has been a successful Upazila Nirbahi Officer, from managing mobile courts and regular market monitoring to implementing various developmental activities of the government, efficient administrative coordination, prevention of dowry-child marriage, prevention of illegal sand extraction-smuggling, prevention of evictions, transportation to avoid accidents.

It is his daily work to inspect various developmental works of the government. A young Upazila Nirbahi Officer is working tirelessly to successfully implement the house construction work as a gift from the honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, especially for the landless and the homeless. The civil society of this upazila said that he has already earned a place in the hearts of the people of the upazila with his honesty, efficiency and hard work.

Earlier last year, he won the award for excellence in primary education at the district and divisional levels. He was also selected as the best UNO of the district this year in the practice of purity.

UNO Abdullah Al Mamun said, “I took it as a challenge to increase the attendance rate in the educational institutions of this ethnic group-dominated area. Various events including baby reception programs are often held to motivate children and reward them.”  “I am hopeful that these children of today will work for the development of the country and the nation in the future, inspired by the spirit of the liberation war.” UNO added.

District Primary Education Officer Saiful Islam said UNO Abdullah Al Mamun has made a significant contribution in preventing dropout of students since joining Sapahar. He has been selected as the best for keeping outstanding contribution in education.
