A Madrasha student under Bhurungamari upazila in Kurigram district was missing while he was taking bath in the Dudkumari River at around 6pm on Friday. The rescue operation is going on till Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Bayezid Hossain 9 son of Badsha Miah of village South ChatGopalpurShalmari under Telai union of Bhurungamariupazila. He was a student of Paglarhat Bazar HefeziaMadrasha under the upazila. Chairman of Telai UP Kamruzzamn ensured the incident.

Locals and family sources said Bayazid along with his friends went to the Shalmarighat of the Dudkumari River to take bath. At one stage of the bathing he drowned with current of water. His family members along with villagers searched but failed. Finding no alternative way they informed the matter to police and Fire Service office.

Officer-in-charge of Bhurungamari police station Nazrul Islam ensured the incident and told that police forces have been sent to the spot. The searching activities is going on Saturday till filing the report.
