Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh has announced the names of candidates for seven parliamentary constituencies in Bogura. The announcement was made at a friendly gathering of former workers, comrades and members of Islami Chhatra Shibir at the local Shaheed Titu Auditorium on Saturday.

Principal Shahabuddin has been nominated for Bogura-1 (Sariakandi-Sonatala) constituency, Principal Shahadatuzzaman for Bogura-2 (Shibganj) constituency, Nur Mohammad Abu Taher for Bogura-3 (Adamdighi-Dupchanchia) constituency, Principal Maulana Tayeb Ali for Bogura-4 (Kahalu-Nandigram) constituency, Dabibur Rahman for Bogura-5 (Sherpur-Dhunat) constituency, Abidur Rahman Sohel for Bogura-6 (Sadar) constituency and Golam Rabbani for Bogura-7 (Gabatoli-Shajahanpur) constituency.

Bogura District Ameer Principal Maulana Abdul Haque Sarkar said that if the election is held without a radical reform of the electoral system, the aspirations of the mass uprising of 24 will not be realized. Therefore, the election must be held after completing the necessary reforms.

Ameer of town  Jamat Principal Abidur Rahman Sohel said that those who are trying to win the eye towards Jamaat-Shibir should be careful. This country is not anyone’s family property; it belongs to 180 million people. Whoever the people of the country want will run the country.
