Rangpur Marine Academy, much awaited by the people of Rangpur, has been inaugurated. Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the Marine Academy by connecting online from Ganobhaban at 12:15 pm on Thursday.
Deputy Commissioner of Rangpur District Md. Asib Ahsan was present in the conference hall of Rangpur Marine Academy. Pirganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer, people’s representatives, political leaders were present at the time.
Apart from inaugurating the Marine Academy, the Prime Minister also handed over high quality houses and inaugurated watercraft to 3,423 affected families in the area acquired for the port.
It may be mentioned that visually pleasant  Marine Academy has been constructed on 10 acres of land in Foliar Beel area of ​​Raipur Union in Pirganj at a cost of Tk 100 crore 5 lakh. It has 35 infrastructures including academic building, parade ground and swimming pool.
