The Covid-19 vaccination program has been inaugurated in Panchagarh district. Mazaharul Haque Pradhan, MP of Panchagarh-1 constituency, was present as the chief guest at the vaccination ceremony at Panchagarh Adhunik Sadar Hospital premises on Sunday morning.

Yusuf Ali, Civil Surgeon. Md. Fazlur Rahman, Panchagarh Municipality Mayor Zakia Khatun, District Family Planning Officer. Mozaffar Rahman and Sadar Upazila Executive Officer. Arif Hossain. District administration officials and media personnel including doctors, nurses and staff of Panchagarh Adhunik Sadar Hospital were present at the time. MP Mazaharul Haque, chief and deputy commissioner of Panchagarh district inaugurated the vaccination program by taking the first joint corona vaccine. Sabina Yasmin. Mohammad Fazlur Rahman, Mayor of Panchagarh Municipality Zakia Khatun, President of Panchagarh Press Club Shafiqul Alam, Senior Journalist Shahidul Islam Shahid received vaccinations in phases. On the first day, a total of 360 people were vaccinated against corona at 5 centers in 5 upazilas of the district. Vaccination is to be given simultaneously in 13 centers of the district from Monday.

Meanwhile, a total of 3,260 people, including 1,033 in Sadar upazila of the district, 381 in Tetulia upazila, 460 in Boda upazila, 65 in Atwari and 551 in Debiganj upazila, have registered for the vaccine till noon on Sunday.
