Supreme Court Chief Justice Hasan Faiz Siddiquee on Saturday has commented that the state can never be strong if the judiciary is weak. He said at the foundation stone laying ceremony of Nyaya Kunj, a resting place for litigants in Pabna district and sessions judge court premises.
Chief Justice said,“we are trying to ensure that people get justice easily in less time and cost.Judges are being urged to speed up the judiciary and complete the trial process at the earliest.”
He also said that the judicial department is working on a plan to bring the number of cases to a tolerable level within the next five years.
Later, Chief Justice Faiz Ahmed planted saplings of Bakul flowers on the Pabna District and Sessions Judge court premises and visited the museum.
He attended discussion meeting of district lawyers sssociation in the afternoon. At that time, senior officers of the Supreme Court and High Court, Pabna senior district and sessions judge Begum Shamim Ahmed and other judges and lawyers were present.
