The Satkhira District Citizens’ Committee and the District Bar Association have organized a human chain demanding that the DC wall be demolished to open the way for the journey from Satkhira Judge’s Court to the Judicial Magistrate’s Court.

On Tuesday (March 2) at 10 am on the Kaliganj-Jessore highway in front of the gate of the Satkhira Deputy Commissioner’s Office, the human chain and the presidency of the District Bar Association President Ed. District People’s Forum Secretary Ali Nur Khan Babul, Human Rights Organizer Madhab Dutt, JSD District General Secretary Sudhanshu Sarkar, District Council Member Ed. Shahnaz Parveen Milli, President of Udichi Shilpi Group Abu Bakkar Siddique, Sadar Upazila Convener of Bangabandhu Professional Council Asaduzzaman Lablu, Vice President of District Volunteer League Ed. Speakers at the rally said a program was announced to boycott the court and remove the wall with Satkhira residents on March 22 to open the road if the traffic was not opened by removing the pen for one day today and removing the wall by March 17.

Leaders of Satkhira District Citizens Committee, leaders of various socio-cultural and political parties, candidates for justice, lawyers and lawyer assistants, local people and pedestrians from all walks of life participated in the human chain.

At the rally, Satkhira declared the solidarity of Bangabandhu Professional Council in the human chain of civil society and lawyers.

Speakers at the rally said no one spoke. Satkhira lawyers are disappointed.

I want to remove the wall and build a road by March 17. In case of failure, the road lawyers will come out after March 22 according to the map passed by ECNEC. The road between Satkhira Judge’s Court and the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court has to be demolished.
