The slaughtered body of one house wife was recovered by police from Belgacha union under Kurigram Sadar upazilaat 9.30pm on Wednesday.
The slain was identified as Shahera Begum 35 daughter of late Abdus Sattar of Pachchim Palasbari village of Belgacha union of the upazila. Mukhlesur Rahman husband of the slain housewife went into hiding after the incident.
The inmates including the mother of the slain claimed that Shahera’s husband after slaughtered lock and key the bed room and went into hiding due to family feud.
The son of the slain Shamin returned home in the evening after completing his work and found that the room was under lock and key.He entered into room breaking open the door and found his mother died in slaughtered position and was shouting. Locals however informed the matter to police. Police rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
Locals informed that a family feud between husband and wife was going on for long. The husband may went into hiding after killing his wife, locals suspected.
Kurigram Superintendent of police Al Asad Mohammad Mahfujul Islam said I have visited on the spot. It is suspected that it might have been killed about family feud. The matter is being investigated. The criminal will be brought under law.
