Hanging bodies of two students recovered in Pabna

Ishwardi police recovered the hanging bodies of two students ofIshwardiupazila in Pabna on Monday. Two bodies of two students were recovered from their homes in Dashuria union and Pakshi union of the upazila on Monday morning.

The deceased are Shaheed Mal,15, son of farmer Amirul Islam, resident of Sultanpur Madhyapara village under Dashuria union of the upazila who was studying in class IX of Dargabazar High School in Dashuria and Sumna Khatun,16, daughter of Yachin Ali of Diar Baghail village under Pakshi union of the same upazila and was a student of Ishwardi Government College.

According to the police, school student Shaheed Mal, committed suicide sometime late on Sunday. On receiving the information, police recovered the body of Shaheed hanging from the bamboo cover of the bedroom of his home around 9 am on Monday.

Ishwardi Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Nurul Huda said, the family of the school student claimed that he committed suicide because he was not allowed to buy a mobile phone. However, the matter is expected to be clear after the autopsy.

On the other hand, at around 11:30 am, the body of college student Sumna was recovered and brought to the police station while hanging in the same manner from the bedroom of her house in Pakshi Diyar Baghail village. Her family claims that Sumna committed suicide by twisting her veil around her neck late on Sunday night.

SI Abdul Mottaleb of the same police station said that the body was recovered from Sumna’s house after getting information. But there was no sign of injury on the body. However, the cause of death is not yet clear to the police. Nothing can be said without an autopsy. The two bodies were sent to Pabna General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
