The Banglabandha land port in Panchagarh will be closed for 12 days from today (Monday) on the occasion of Lailatul Qadr and Eid-ul-Fitr. Mehedi Hasan Khan Babla, president of Panchagarh Importers and Exporters Association, confirmed the matter in a notification.
According to the notification, import-export trade at Banglabandha-Phulbari land port will be closed for 12 days from Monday to Friday, May 21 on the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr and Holy Shab-e-Kwadar. Port activities will resume as usual from May 22 (Saturday).
Mehedi Hasan Khan Babla said the decision was taken jointly by the Panchagarh Importers and Exporters Association and the Phulbari Exporters and Importers Welfare Association of India. However, all the activities of the government department will continue as per the rules.
