Former upazila chairman and wealthy businessman Alhaj Dabibur Rahman gave wheelchairs to three poor and sick people of Sherpur upazila of Bogura district. He went door to door and distributed the wheel chairs from morning to afternoon on Tuesday  from personal fund.

The recipients of wheel chairs are Nurjahan Begum of Mahipur village of Garidah union of the upazila, Khadija Khatun of Phulbari village of the same union, Sagar Hossain of Kafura Purva Para village.

In addition to the rich businessman Alhaj Dabibur Rahman, Garidah Union Parishad Chairman Tabibur Rahman, lecturer Abdullah Al Mustafiz Nasim, Anisur Rahman, village doctor Abul Kalam Azad, Alhaj Fazlur Rahman, Qari Tabibur Rahman and local dignitaries of the area were present on the occasion.

Alhaj Dabibur Rahman said, “I always try to stand by the helpless people. My only goal is to please Allah. Apart from providing wheelchairs, we have also distributed blankets for the suffering of the people in the area this winter. “All the wealthy should come forward to the helpless and distressed people of the society. Then there will be no helpless people in the society.” he added.

Khadija Khatun shed tears of joy after getting a wheel chair and said, “It was very difficult to walk before. I could not go anywhere alone.  It is very good to get a wheel chair and now it will be convenient to move and can go to different places.” They  added.
