Education Engineering Department (EED) is working on the promise of the successful Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to build smart Bangladesh. The department is also working for the dream of the great architect of independent Bangladesh, the father of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

While paying tribute to the portrait of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at No. 32 Dhanmondi, Chief Engineer of the Directorate of Education and Engineering Md Delwar Hossain Majumdar said all this.

He said that I have been appointed as the chief engineer of this department on contract basis for a period of 2 years. So I request everyone’s cooperation to fulfill the responsibility assigned to me. I education engineering personality will try to serve  for the welfare of the people.

Later, prayers were organized for everyone’s happiness and peace to Almighty Allah and for the future success of the Department of Education and Engineering. At that time, all the officials and employees of the Directorate of Education and Engineering and Dhaka Metro were present.

The Ministry of Public Administration published this notification on February 12 by order of the President. It is said in the announcement, Engineer Md Delwar Hossain Majumdar has been appointed contractually for the post of chief engineer of the Directorate of Education and Engineering for a period of 12 February 2024 or the next 2 years from the date of joining, on the condition of suspension of post-retirement leave and related benefits and abandonment of work relationships with other institutions and organizations.

Earlier, on October 13, 2022, Delwar Hossain Majumder was appointed to the post of chief engineer (ongoing duty) of the Department of Education and Engineering. He was then promoted to the post of Chief Engineer on December 4, 2023.

Directorate of Education and Engineering Bogura Executive Engineer Arifuzzaman said that the Directorate of Education and Engineering is working under the guidance and overall supervision of the Chief Engineer. I will try to work responsibly in the infrastructure development of all the educational institutions of this district on a priority basis.

Delwar Hossain Majumdar said that the Directorate of Education and Engineering is working tirelessly to implement the government’s action plan and achieve its goals. I will faithfully fulfill the responsibility given by the government for the next two years.
