Distribution of donation check to families of late worker in Sherpur

District Bus-Minibus Coach and Microbus Transport Workers’ Union has distributed one-time donation check to families of daughter and late labourer  under Sherpur upazila of Bogura district.
 On this occasion, the event was organized on Wednesday (October 19) afternoon at the town local bus stand, Karatoya Bus Terminal premises of the upazila.
President of the organization Arifur Rahman Milon presided over the meeting. Additional Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) Helena Akhtar spoke as the chief guest on the occasion and the main speaker was Alhaj¦ Jane Alam Khoka, Lifetime Donor Advisor of the organization and Mayor of Sherpur Municipality. spoke in the meeting.
Bangladesh Road Transport Owners Association Dhaka Organizing Secretary Aminul Islam, Sherpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ataur Rahman Khondkar, Sherpur Highway Police Camp In-charge Zainal Abedin, the event under the direction of Motiur Rahman Moti, General Secretary of District Bus-Minibus Coaches and Microbus Transport Workers Union. Municipal Awami League President Sarwar Rahman Mintu, Bogura District Bus-Minibus Coach and Microbus Transport Owners Association President Akhtaruzzaman Duke, Executive President Taufiq Hasan Maina, Bogura District Peas Workers Union President Abdul Hamid Mitul, General Secretary Syed Kabir Ahmed Mithu, Sherpur Bus Stand Traders Association President  Alhaj¦ Shafiqul Islam Shiru, Bogura District Bus-Minibus Coach Transport Owners Association Road Secretary Lecturer Salim Reza, Bogura District CNG Owners Association General Secretary Abdullah Sheikh, Bogura District Bus-Minibus Coach and Microbus Transport Workers Union Executive President Kamal Sheikh were present in the meeting among others on the occasion.
Later, the head of the program and the invited guests handed over a check of Tk 3 lakh 20 thousand to the 16 families of the dead members of the labour union and Tk 4 lakh 55 thousand to the 91 families with daughters.
