Demonstration has been held against the newly formed committee of Sherpur Upazila Chhatra League on Thursday (March 30) afternoon under Sherpurupazila of Bogura district.
The protest march has been taken out and the procession circumambulated the main local roads of the town.
The protest rally was then held at the local bus stand.Upazila Chhatra League president Ghalib Sarkar presided over the meeting.
Former Chhatra League leader Manik Sheikh, Chhatra League leader Masud Rana, Aminul Islam, Sunny, Mithun Hasan Mithu, Iqbal Hasan Mithu, Hasan Talukder and others spoke at the meeting.
Former president of Upazila Chhatra League Mahbubar Rahman Ashiq, newly elected general secretary of Upazila Chhatra League Humayun Kabir Dani and hundreds of former and present leaders of Chhatra League were present in the protest rally.
Speakers in the meeting said that Bogura District Chhatra League has announced a partial committee of 13 members of Upazila Chhatra League after a long time in a special staff meeting in Sherpur on March 23.
Since the announcement of this committee, a self-interested group has been lying in various circles including social media.
They warned that if the well-known mahal did not desist from such activities, they would be dealt with on the street.
