Demonstration meeting has been held to protest the increase of fuel prices and the killing of party activists of police firing over the country.
Demonstration meeting has been organized on the initiative of Upazila BNP at Mohipur Government Primary School playground on Saturday (03 September) afternoon under Sherpur of Bogura district.
Upazila BNP president Shahidul Islam Bablu presided over the over the meeting.
Upazila BNP General Secretary Rafiqul Islam Mintu directed the function on the occasion.
Bogura district BNP convenor and municipal mayor Rezaul Karim Badsha spoke as the chief guest at the protest meeting. The chief speaker was Bogura Sadar Constituency MP Alhaj Golam Md Siraj.
The chief guest said, “In his speech the struggle for restoration of democracy has been started under the leadership of Begum Zia and Tarek Rahman.
This fight will be continued until the fall of Sheikh Hasina. BNP leaders will not go back home. This movement cannot be suppressed by oppression.Police arresting and shooting party leaders and activists will not prevent the downfall of Sheikh Hasina.’
Alhaj Gholam Md. Siraj MP, the chief speaker of the demonstration meeting , said” People of the country have been woken up to restore democracy at any cost.”
In demonstration meeting, the special guest, Senior Joint Convener of Bogura District BNP Advocate Saiful Islam, Fazlur Bari Talukder Belal, District BNP Former President VP Saiful Islam, Former General Secretary Zainal Abedin Chan, District BNP Joint Convener Ali Azgar Talukder Hena, Bogura District Mohila Dal President. Lovely Rahman, District BNP Leader MR Islam Swadhin, Sheikh Taha Uddin Naeem, Shahidunnabi Salam, Khairul Bashar, District Jubo Dal Convener Khademul Islam, Joint Convener Jahangir Alam, District Sewshebok Dal Joint Convener Sarkar Mukul, Bogura District Chhatra Dal Convener Abu Hasan, Joint Convener Noor Alam Siddiqui Regan spoke on the occasion.
Besides,Upazila BNP organizing secretary Abdul Momin, Shafiqul Islam Shafiq, BNP leader Peer Hossain Peer, Abdul Hai Siddiqui Helal, Mostafizur Rahman Nilu, Majnur Rahman Majnu, Sabidul Islam spoke in the meeting among others.
