The common people of all walks of life, including teachers and students, are enjoying the day-long winter Pitha-Puli festival in Chapainawabganj.

The Pitha Festival was held on Tuesday (December 31) morning at the Harimahan Government High School grounds organized by Exim Bank Agricultural University.

At the Pitha Festival, delicious pitha of various names and colors can be seen at about 12 stalls. Children and the elderly crowd in front of the stalls to eat pitha.

Visitors who came to eat pitha said that when they come here, they can see rural Adi Pitha, Jamai Pitha, Nababi Semai, Hridoy Haran, Bahari Golap, Bou Pitha, Puli Pitha, Tel Pitha, Patisapta, Malpoa, Bread Pitha, Chui Pitha, Dui Puli, Biscuit Pitha, and Chandra Puli.

The students said, we have been making pitha all night. We have not attended any pitha festival before. It feels good to be at the festival. There is a lot of interest in pitha among people. At the same time, many are buying and eating pitha and getting acquainted with new pitha.

Acting Proctor of the university Dr. Mahbubur Rahman said, Pitha festival is held every year. Along with this, cultural games are also held. Students, teachers and guardians also came to the pitha festival. Such pitha festivals will continue to be organized in the future.
