The much awaited vaccination program for Covid-19 has been inaugurated in all the upazilas of Bogura simultaneously at 10 am on Sunday, As part of this, inauguration program has been organised by the health department of the upazila in the conference room of Upazila Health Complex while Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Abdul Kader was the first person in the upazila who took the vaccination.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Liaqoat Ali Shaikh attended the program as the chief guest while Dr. Abdul Kader presided over the program. The Mayor of Sherpur Municipality, Vice-Chairmen of Sherpur Upzila Parishod, Assistant Commissioner (Land), Officer-in-Charge of Sherpur thana, health practitioners, other political leaders, valiant freedom fighters, journalists, teachers and enthusiastic people also attended this program.
More than five thousand people in the upazila will be vaccinated on the basis of priority among the frontliners in the first phase. The discussants in the meeting urged mass people not pay heed to any rumour regarding vaccination and to register online through
