A commemorative gathering and prayer for the salvation of the departed soul of late Prof. Delwar Hossain at Hall Room of the department of English under Govt. Azizul Haque College in Bogura on Saturday noon.

Govt. Azizul Haque College English Department Alumni Association (AHCEDAA) arranged the commemorative gathering and Dowa Mahfil for the salvation of his departed soul of late Prof and founder head of the department of English Prof. Delwar Hossain.

Senior Vice-President of the Alumni Association and Assistant Profession Journalist Mamun-ur-Rashid presided over the whole programme while Joint-Secretary of the association Syed Fakhrul Mulk Lemon conducted the programme.

Principal of the college Prof. Shawkat Alam Mir, Former head of the department Prof. Shafiqul Amin, Prof. Mir Abdur Razzak, Prof. Abdur Rab Nishtar, Former Vice-Principal of the college Prof. Abul Quader, Existing head of the department Prof. Kabir Rana, General Secretary of the association and SP of Laximpur district Aktar Hossain, Son-in-law of the departed soul and Joint-Director of RDA, Bogura Maksud Alam Khan and his youngest daughter of the departed soul Eliza Sultana Popy, Associate Porf. of the department Tipu Sultan, Associate Prof. and Vice-President of the association Zebunnessa, Assistant Porf. Abdul Latif and Alamgir Hossain and editor the daily asia Md Emdadul Haque  were present in the commemorative gathering and Dowa.

The speakers highly praised the total career of the departed soul as a successful teacher, administrator, father, guardian and even neighbour too.

His dedication in the noble profession charmed us all and will become the lamppost of the next generation.

Later, his colleague and former head of the department of Arabic Department Prof. Abdur Rashid conducted Dowa Mahfil for his soul’s eternal salvation. At least 300 teachers and former and present students were present in the occasion.
