Pabna’s Chatmohar municipality areas have been brought under CCTV cameras to ensure crime and safe roads.
A total of 60 cameras have been installed at different points of the municipality. The people’s representatives, administration and locals have hoped that it will control crimes like theft, robbery, snatching and murder.
Pabna Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mahibul Islam Khan BPM inaugurated 60 cameras at Chatmohar police station premises on Thursday afternoon as the chief guest on the occasion. Officer-in-charge of Chatmohar police station Muhammad Anwar Hossain presided over the meeting.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Saikat Islam, Chatmohar municipality mayor advocate Sakhawat Hossain Sakho, Pabna Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Jinnah Al Mamun, Assistant Superintendent of Police (Chatmohar Circle) Sajeeb Shahrin, upazila Awami League general secretary Atiqur Rahman Atik, president of Chatmohar business association Md Mokhlesur Rahman Bidyut, Chatmohar press club president Rakibur Rahman Tukun and others spoke at the programme. At that time chairmen of different unions of the upazila, political leaders, journalists and well-wishers were present.
